Kleinheider reports on Tennessee Republican Party Chair Robin Smith being replaced on the Tennessee Human Rights Commission.
It's hard to say which makes her sound crazier, her original letter to Gov. Bredesen regarding her tenure on the commission, or her letter to Post Politics (quoted at the end of the article) complaining about the original letter being published.

How compelling that a resolution was passed by the only white politician in black district challenged by a black opponent. Maybe politically challenged? That aside - I would like an apology to my Sicilian grandparents and my mother and her two sisters for treatement that received as immigrants from Italy. My Aunt Stell had to change her name to Barry to sing in the Jamaica Choral Society. No Italians allowed. Then my Irish side- Micks, "lace curtain" Irish, only jobs available were on the railroads where they broke their backs to earn a dime. In the community in whic I grew up Jews were not allowed to join the local golf club when I was a child. Apology needed? Must I go on. Unless you or your family owned slaves you owe no one an apology and either do I. This happened hundreds of years ago and I wasn't here and I don't owe anyone an apology. I'm sick to death of this and this is one of the reasons I'm voting for McCain.
Wow. She has black friends on the playground as a child and was called names for it. What a civil rights activist she was!
Her emails make me look sane.
Be afraid.

Good question. Please don't.
