Kleinheider reports that the TNGOP Statesman's Dinner will be closed to the press, and only those with tickets will get to enjoy an evening with Karl Rove.

Ok, Hobbs lying is not newsworthy but does it indicate that the Tennessee GOP is continuing down their chosen path of trying to become a secret shadow government?
When your headline act is a man accused of everything from Contempt of Congress, Obstruction of Justice, and Treason, it sure seems like it. Karl Rove went to Russia in order to avoid testifying before Congress.
But why would Hobbs lie about it, if it weren't nefarious and something to be ashamed of? Hobbs had to know that when he said the event was always "closed" that the Press members who were at last years event would catch him.
You know, they could just wear their white robes and hoods and let the Press in. They could still be "secret" that way.
