Well, at least the Dem column won't be blank on the U.S. Senate primary ballot.

According to the Leaf Chronicle [1], Chris Lugo [2], the Dennis Kucinich of Tennessee politics, has switched from the Green Party and this time will run as a Democrat for the nomination to run in the fall against Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander.

Right wing bloggers and pundits will no doubt have lots of dismissive fun with Lugo's announcement. But what's not to like about his platform [3]? And let the record show that he is the first (self-proclaimed) Democrat to step up to the plate.
