Yow. It's difficult to

Yow. It's difficult to characterize this. One might argue Clinton was smart for allowing her name to remain on the ballot, although I can certainly sympathize with folks who are furious over not getting to vote for their preferred candidate.

Did the voters in Michigan

Did the voters in Michigan not know that voting for uncommitted was sort of a vote for Edwards or Obama or do they really like Clinton?

I noticed during the intro to last night's Democrat debate, they announced the winner of the GOP primary but not the Democrat primary. Were they just being polite to not offend Obama and Edwards (uncommitted) or were they just ignoring this primary?

I think they were ignoring

I think they were ignoring it. I'm under the impression that without other names on the ballot, there's really no way to tell what folks really wanted. because, yes, some folks probably didn't realize that uncommitted included Edwards and Obama.

It was a mistake for Obama and Edwards to leave themselves off the ballot.

Granted, the final result probably would have been a 36-34-27 split again, but as it was, a lot of people hopped party lines to vote for Romney.

(Regarding the Republican result: Heh.)
