Democratic Candidates Top Vote-Receivers in Tennessee Primary

I'm not sure what conclusion, if any, one can draw from yesterday's primary regarding the Tennessee electorate. But it is interesting that a majority of Tennesseans cast votes for Democratic candidates.

Democratic Primary: 631,680 Total votes

Republican Primary: 558,321 Total votes

(99% of votes reported)

Democrats had the most votes

Democrats had the most votes in the 2004 primary. Bush only candidate on Republican primary.

Republicans had the most votes in the 2000 primary.

Agreed, don't know if anything means anything.

Dems are energized all over.

Dems are energized all over. But it makes you wonder if there was some crossover voting going on.

Or whether the GOP choices

Or whether the GOP choices were so unappetizing that many Republicans stayed home.
