Well someone was thinking ahead and thank goodness for this rule!

Lieberman No Longer a Super Delegate
Thanks to Zell Miller, there is a rule to deal with Joe Lieberman.

Lieberman's endorsement of Republican John McCain disqualifies him as a super-delegate to the Democratic National Convention under what is informally known as the Zell Miller rule, according to Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo.

Miller, then a Democratic senator from Georgia, not only endorsed Republican George Bush four years ago, but he delivered a vitriolic attack on Democrat John Kerry at the Republican National Convention.

The Democrats responded with a rule disqualifying any Democrat who crosses the aisle from being a super delegate. Lieberman will not be replaced, DiNardo said.

I thought...

he had already left the party. I believe he was elected as an (I) last time after losing the primary to Ned Lamont.

I guess you're right. Why

I guess you're right. Why was he a Democratic Super Delegate?

One of the reasons I did not

One of the reasons I did not support Hillary is because of her inability to recognize Lieberman's duplicity and the threat his political survival poses.

Her support of Lieberman against Lamont was tough to take. His endorsement of McCain should have brought a concerted condemnation from all Democrats. He's funny and glib in a small room but he's a traitor to all but his own narrow self interest. I wonder what Al Gore thinks of his Veep choice now.

Ah

Well, Obama didn't do much for him either.

He campaigned here in TN with Harold Ford Jr and then went on a book tour to promote himself rather then go campaign and help Lamont!

At least John Edwards did campaign with Lamont and went there for him.

The best has suspended his campaign and can still receive delegates, supporters are still voting for Edwards, who knows now where we go.
