The battle for state (and national) supremacy.

The hype:

Jimmy Sexton, one of the country's most prominent sports agents, lives in Memphis and has never seen anything remotely close to the ticket hunt for this game.

"It's the hardest ticket I've ever seen in sports, ever," Sexton said. "It's harder than any Super Bowl, harder than any World Series. There's just not that many people selling tickets. I've had so many of the players that I represent call and ask me to help them get tickets. I've told them, 'There just aren't any.'"

Keys for a Tennessee victory:

--Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith must shoot well from the perimeter

--UT must force turnovers and convert them into easy points

--UT must limit the Tigers's offensive rebounding

--Wayne Chism and Duke Crews must stay out of foul trouble

Go Vols!

This is going to be a great

This is going to be a great game, the two best teams in the country.

The game, however, is in memphis, 90% of the fans will be in blue, and the Tigers will win by 5-8 points.

Go TIGERS!

Memphis IS LeftTennessee!

I hope y'all win

To start the beatdown that the Memorial Magic will finish on Tuesday!

Seriously, Tennessee and Vandy ought to play Memphis more often. People like seeing in-state competition, even if they're not in the same conferences. In Massachussetts, they have the "Beantown Tournament" between BU, BC, Northeastern, and Haaaahvahd, and it's always a huge event.

Seriously, Tennessee and

Seriously, Tennessee and Vandy ought to play Memphis more often.

I don't expect to see Vandy playing at Memphis as long as Calipari is there. He doesn't want other top regional schools invading his precious recruiting ground. The only reasons UT has a contract with UM is because of the football series and political pressure from Nashville.

And yes, the game at Vandy is fraught with danger. We must have a quick turnaround.

But at least for 2 days, we're #1!
